Outage Alert

High Winds - Power Outage

At Panola-Harrison Electric Cooperative, one of our goals is to serve our members while also providing a safe workplace as we manage our day-to-day operations. However, like many others in our area, we are dealing with the effects of the high winds that affected our area. Here is an update on the status of our system and our crews.

•    Winds in our area were estimated to be 30+ miles per hour.

•    We began experiencing the greatest effect from the storm this morning.

•    The storm's effect included moderate winds and high winds.

•    The weather conditions have caused a small number of outages.

•    At this time, we can confirm we do have a power outage that is affecting approximately 257 meters.

•    The power outage area includes Keithville, Karnack, Keatchie, and Longwood.

•    Crews are working on the situation at this time.

•    The storm has taken down none of our poles.

•    Regarding our substations, none of them have been affected.

•    Our service area has 2,580 miles of lines.

•    At this time, we do not know how many miles of lines are down.

•    For your safety, please stay away from any downed power lines.

•    Residents and businesses in our service area could be without electricity for several hours.

We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.  Ultimately we are not satisfied until every meter is reconnected and the lights are on for everyone.  All outages must be reported by phone or by outage texting. To report an outage or a downed power line by phone, you can call 903-935-7936. To sign up for outage texting, CLICK HERE.

We will continue to post any updates to our website at www.phec.us.
