Before Installation of a Distributed Generation (DG) Facility
A member seeking interconnection of a DG facility to the cooperative system must submit all applicable forms to Panola-Harrison Electric Cooperative (PHEC) for review and approval before beginning installation.
Member-owned or leased generator equipment and solar installations must be installed in accordance with the manufacturer’s specifications, as well as all applicable provisions of the national electrical codes at the members own expense including the:
- National Electrical Code (NEC)
- Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE)
- National Electrical Safety Code (NESC)
- Underwriters Laboratories (UL)
Renewable Energy Rate
- Current renewable energy rate paid for excess generation: $.05729 per kilowatt-hour.
- PHEC renewable energy rate is calculated as the previous calendar 12-month average Locational Marginal Price (LMP) for the appropriate PHEC load zone
